| To: All IPSC Regional Offices Worldwide Good day to you all, I would like to introduce myself to you as the owner of the company that has been appointed as the Tour Operator and Ground Handler for World Shoot XIII. My name is Diederik van't Hof, and I have owned and operated Touch Africa Safaris for the past eleven years. Two weeks ago I heard that my bid was successful for World Shoot XIII, and I know that one week ago the final slot allocation was released. From your side a lot of hard work and dedication has gone into being chosen for your national teams - my congratulations to all who have made it, and who we will be seeing in September. We naturally share the sentiments of Mr. Nick Alexakos that you make this World Shoot a truly African Experience and that all your families and friends join you in South Africa. We all in South Africa are totally committed to making World Shoot XIII the best World Shoot EVER! In order to achieve this, Touch Africa Safaris has put together a very comprehensive Website detailing the Coach Transfers to Pietersburg on the day you arrive, the bus transfer system in Pietersburg to get you to and from the range, car hire, day tours for friends, families and children, and several holiday packages specifically arranged for World Shoot XIII, all starting from Pietersburg on the 22nd September. Website can found at: http://safari.africa.co.za/WSHome.htm September is high tourist season in South Africa, and as such I would urge and recommend that you make your arrangements NOW! International flights are booked out by the large tour operators months in advance, and hotel accommodation is also at a premium. South Africa is also hosting the World Summit on Sustainable Resources in the week before the shoot and 65 000 delegates are expected to attend. This understandably will put a huge demand on our tourism facilities, car hire, coaches etc. Touch Africa Safaris is holding bookings for all the hotel accommodation on the Coach Holidays, as well as for the coaches both for transfers and for tours. I am able to hold these booking until April, and then will be forced to release. I fully understand that you all need to make your own arrangements within the next week or two, but I do ask that you look at what you would like to do in South Africa during and after the shoot, and arrange everything as soon as possible. Leaving your arrangements until May or June will be too late. I am quite happy to accept provisional bookings immediately, to be confirmed later - just to give me an indication of what to expect. I ask that you pass this letter on to as many people that you know will be attending World Shoot XIII, so that we can all work together and well in advance to make it "An African Experience of a Lifetime" Best wishes, safe travels and straight shooting, Yours sincerely Diederik van't Hof This is an e-mail from Touch Africa Safaris in Johannesburg, South Africa. 10 years of showing South Africa's best!
